Weight loss after pregnancy !!
Well, this has been my most asked question since i have given birth. Now my LO is almost 14 months old. It break my heart to see women struggling with their weight issues. We are living in a shallow world, staying healthy is one thing, we all should, but looking like a model to be seen in this world is just not right. But at the end of the day we all want to look good and feel good. So here are few of my tips that worked for me, and hopefully they'll work for some of you too,Tip #1 : Count your calorie intake !!
now this is really important,i used a website www.myfitnesspal.com
they'll ask you to fill a forum, about your weight, your goal weight and stuff like that and give you a calorie limit, now everyday what you eat you add in the website or they also have an app , and it will count your calories for you. If you're breastfeeding you need to up your calories a little bit.
Tip #2 : Walk !!
Since doing heavy exercises is not an option for you right now, you can go for walks, don't push yourselves to exercise until you get a green signal from the doctor. Or in general if you don't like to do heavy exercises, just walk ! It not only helps you to refresh your mind, it also helps you to burn some extra calories. Since your calorie intake is already limited and you are burning some extra calories, you'll lose weight.Tip #3 : Be Patient !!
I know when you are trying to lose weight you get desperate and you want the results asap, but losing weight requires patience and determination. Keep doing it, and hang in there, you will reach your goal. Don't quit because you didn't see results in a week or so.There is a saying "It takes 4 weeks for you to notice your body changing...and 12 weeks for the rest of the world to notice. Give it 12 weeks."
Having a Fitness Partner !!
Having a partner makes a world of a difference. If any of your friends have same goals as you do, you can go on walks together. There are plenty of delicious low calorie meal recipes on internet, you can share recipes together, you can keep each other motivated.Be Realistic !!
Now it is ok to have cheat meals once in a while, so you don't just crash and quit. However, make sure your cheat meal doesn't end up being a cheat weekend or anything like that. This is the easiest way of losing weight but IT WORKS ! 100%
Know your body type, and don't aim for what you see on magazines or tv.
And lastly don't be so tough on yourself. Eventually you will lose weight. Enjoy your motherhood, and cherish every moment that you have with you little one, because they grow up so fast. You all are beautiful whatever size , shape, height you are.
Good Luck !!
If it helps you please let me know and let your friends who are struggling with it, also know.
love,
Zunaira Sulman.
